Typography has long been a vital part of promotional material and advertising. Designers often use typography to set a theme and mood in an advertisement; for example using bold, large text to convey a particular message to the reader. Type is often used to draw attention to a particular advertisement, combined with efficient use of color, shapes and images. Today, typography in advertising often reflects a company's brand. Fonts used in advertisements convey different messages to the reader; classical fonts are for a strong personality, while more modern fonts are for a cleaner, neutral look. Bold fonts are used for making statements and attracting attention.

Founded in 2004, Designers Against AIDS (DAA) formed an alliance with famous and emerging fashion designers, musicians, artists and other celebrities to raise HIV and AIDS awareness in different continents.  The DAA has two messages to communicate to todays and future generations: “’Prevention is the only cure for HIV/AIDS’ and ‘Know your status.’  Furthermore, they fight for the acceptance of and equal rights for seropositive people.”

Project White T-Shirt, a non-profit effort managed by Triple Major Studio to raise funds and donate them to DAA has revolutionized the most basic article of clothing: the white T-shirt.  As of 2010, more than thirty-one designers, including Siv Stødal, Narelle Dore and Bruno Pieters stand to invent unique designs through innovation and new trends......

This Friday, April 20 2012, the Nostrum Consilium family along numerous local activists’ plan to hit the streets for KONY Cover Night.  We firmly believe that within unity there’s power and this issue must be addressed by everyone.  It is a shame to see how the media and other opposing groups take a crack at discrediting the movement, and so masterfully.  How easily manipulated is our society by media and its speculations? Apparently, too easy! 

We must stand together for what we know and feel is right.  This approach has and will continue to revolutionize how global affairs policies will evolve and we are proud to be part of its progressive development.  The fashion industry has supported a variety of universal causes and has adopted a number of proactive approaches in order to improve the industry from within.  It is our ambition to contribute to the common goal not only through the conceptual art displayed on our garments or the manufacturing techniques used, but also through our individual actions and those of our company.
